I love what Dessa Smith wrote on a candle for you..  I dropped a teardrop in the ocean.  The day that I find it is the Day I will stop missing you.  I wish I could give you a big hug and get a big kiss from you.  If you can will you come to me in a dream or must come to me and let me know that you are ok.  I love you.  I will see you when I get there. Happy Birthday baby.  I love you and miss you so much.  I hope you are having a wonderful celebration with Daddy, Papaw and Grandmother.  You are so missed. 

Just sitting here thinking of you and how much I love you and miss you.  I wish sometimes that I could just reach up and touch your sweet face.  You are and always will be my sweet first born and I feel you sometimes in a way that no one else can.  I just want to say that you were such a pleasure to have in my life.  I am so blessed to have been chosen to be your mother.  I see you in the eyes of your children now.  You are my sonshine my only sonshine you make me happy when skies are gray you'll never know Shad how much I loved you please don't take my sonshine away.  You touch so many lives that you don't even know.  I got a letter today from a young man that was able to stop prescription drugs and he said that your live helped him to make that decision.  That makes me so happy when I know that you still touch lives.  Not very many Mothers can say that even though her child is gone they still touch lives.  That is the best thing ever.  I love you and hope to see you in the after life.  I will see you when I get there.  Momma

I read Shadricks story and my heart just breaks for your family. I know too well what your family is going through and I'm so sorry. I too lost my oldest son B.J. and had to make that horrible decision to turn off the life support. He was only 19 years old...
Please know I'll lift your family in my prayers.
